Warm Bodies by Isaac Marion

Synopsis:A zombie who yearns for a better life ends up falling in love—with a human—in this astonishingly original debut novel.R is a zombie. He has no memories, no identity, and no pulse, but he has dreams. He doesn’t enjoy killing people; he enjoys riding escalators and listening to Frank Sinatra. He is a little different from his fellow Dead. Not just another zombie novel, Warm Bodies is funny, scary, and deeply moving.

My Opinion:
Hmm... I liked this book but that's almost all I can say about it. It's comical, witty, and cute to sum it all up. It's nice to read a book from the zombies(R) point of view. I felt like it dragged a bit towards the middle and I started to skim rather than actually read. Nonetheless, IT DIDN'T SUCK. I think that it was possible for the author to build up R's relationship with Julie a bit more. The ending seemed very abrupt, I would have liked if they elaborated more... It seems like they skipped a whole chuck of time.

Rating:

3 out of 5 stars.
